Statement of Faith

Bible

We believe that the Bible, composed of both the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures) and the Apostolic Writings of the New Covenant (Brit HaChadasha), is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

We do not believe in an additional “Oral Torah” given on Mt. Sinai.

2 Timothy 3:15 -17 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to make you wise, leading to  salvation through trusting in Messiah Yeshua. All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for  restoration, and for training in righteousness, so that the person belonging to God may be capable, fully equipped for  every good deed.

God is Echad (a united one)

We believe that God’s unity is Echad, as declared in the Shema, “a united one” or “composite unity” Eternally existent as HaAv (Father), HaBen (Son), and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s  hand. I and the Father are one.” Again the Judean leaders picked up stones to stone Him.

Yeshua HaMashiach /Jesus the Messiah

We believe Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) is one with the Father, that He is the “Seed of the woman”  God promised and that His virgin birth was to be a prophetic sign of His God-issued King-Messiah leadership  role for Israel.

We believe in Messiah Yeshua’s life and readiness to perform miracles yesterday, today and forever, in His  vicarious and sacrificial death as the atoning satisfaction of divine wrath upon our sin, in His bodily resurrection,  in His personal physical future return with His followers, both living and dead, to establish His universal  Messianic kingdom with His kingly enthronement in Zion

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore Adonai Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive. When she is giving birth to a  son, she will call his name Immanuel.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only  from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 8:58 Yeshua answered, “Amen, amen I tell you, before Abraham was, I am!”

Ruach HaKodesh/Holy Spirit

We believe in the continuous and ever-present ministry of the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), by whose indwelling and sealing at rebirth, the believer is enabled to live a godly life and is equipped for spiritual ministries.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 “…not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of  the land of Egypt. For they broke My covenant, though I was a husband to them.” it is a declaration of Adonai. “But this  is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days” —it is a declaration of Adonai— “I will put My Torah  within them. Yes, I will write it on their heart. I will be their God and they will be My people.

John 14:15-17 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. I will ask the Father, and He will give you another  Helper so He may be with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold  Him or know Him. You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you.

Cleansed by Grace

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin (sanctification) is by grace, through faith in the blood sacrifice of Yeshua HaMashiach and that regeneration by the Spirit of God is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for  your lives—for it is the blood that makes atonement because of the life.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not from yourselves—it is the gift of God.

John 3:3 Yeshua answered him, “Amen, amen I tell you, unless one is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of  God.”

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of all humankind, both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the  other to eternal separation from God, e.g., consigned to a state of everlasting punishment.

Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake—some to everlasting life, and others to shame and  everlasting contempt.

Matthew 25:46 “These shall go off to everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.”

Revelation 20:12-15 And I saw the dead—the great and the small—standing before the throne. The books were opened,  and another book was opened—the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what was written in the books,  according to their deeds. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Sheol gave up the dead in them. Then  they were each judged, each one of them, according to their deeds. Then death and Sheol were thrown into the lake of  fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown  into the lake of fire

Sons and Daughters of Israel and Abrahamic Covenant

We believe that Jewish descendants of the Hebrew Patriarchs, through either father or mother, who place their faith in Israel’s Messiah Yeshua are part of the biblical “remnant of Israel” and remain integral to the Jewish people and culture.

Non-Jewish believers are grafted onto Israel’s Olive Tree, enjoy membership in God’s New Covenant with Israel and spiritually function as full team members in God’s household.

We affirm God’s covenant with Abraham, that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people in perpetuity. We are committed to stand with the State of Israel.

Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for you are  all one in Messiah Yeshua. And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise.

Genesis 15:5 He took him outside and said, “Look up now, at the sky, and count the stars—if you are able to count them.”  Then He said to him, “So shall your seed be.”

Jeremiah 31:31 – 33 not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the  land of Egypt. No longer will each teach his  neighbor or each his brother, saying: ‘Know Adonai,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.” it is a  declaration of Adonai. “For I will forgive their iniquity, their sin I will remember no more.”

New Covenant Body and the One New Man

We believe that the middle wall of separation which had marked radical alienation and enmity between Jews and non-Jews was divinely obliterated by Yeshua’s accomplishment on the Tree of Sacrifice. Non-Jewish believers are grafted onto Israel’s Olive Tree, enjoy membership in God’s New Covenant with Israel and spiritually function as full & equal team members in God’s household.

We believe that the Jewish New Covenant body of Messiah is composed of both Jews and Non-Jews who have accepted Yeshua HaMashiach as the promised Redeemer and are now at liberty to worship God TOGETHER.

Ephesians 2:15 the law code of mitzvot contained in regulations. He did this in order to create within Himself one new man  from the two groups, making shalom

Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are joint heirs and fellow members of the same body and co-sharers of the  promise in Messiah Yeshua through the Good News.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For in one Ruach we were all immersed into one body—whether Jewish or Greek, slave or free—and  all were made to drink of one Ruach.

Hebrews 10:25 And do not neglect our own meetings, as is the habit of some, but encourage one another—and all the more so as you see the Day approaching.

Jewish and Gentile Followers of Yeshua

We believe that Jewish followers of Yeshua are called to maintain our Jewish biblical heritage and remain a part of our people  Israel. This is part of our identity and a witness to the faithfulness of God.

We believe that Gentile followers of Yeshua are called to unity with their Jewish brothers and sisters in Yeshua through the Spirit of God, but remain as Gentiles in identity. Together we comprise a glorious witness of the “one new man” (Eph. 2:15). We do not believe that One Law Theology or the doctrinal positions associated with the “Two-House” Movement reflect  biblical teaching about Gentile identity in the Messiah. This position is in accordance with our parent organizations, the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS).

Proclaiming Yeshua to “All Israel”

Since God’s Anointed King, Yeshua, is the World’s only hope of salvation and God’s key to Israel’s destiny, we  are committed to proclaiming Yeshua to all of Israel and the Nations.

Act 17:1-3 After passing through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish  synagogue. As was his custom, Paul went to the Jewish people; and for three Shabbatot, he debated the Scriptures with  them. He opened them and gave evidence that Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead, saying, “This Yeshua, whom  I declare to you, is the Messiah.”

Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the Good News, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who trusts —to the Jew first and also to the Greek. In it the righteousness of God is revealed, from trust to trust. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by emunah.”
